Rafael van der Vaart admits Bayern Munich didn't try to sign him

Tottenham's new £8million signing Rafael van der Vaart has dismissed Harry Redknapp's claims that Bayern Munich tried to sign him before transfer deadline day.[LNB]Van der Vaart completed a last-gasp switch from Real Madrid to WhiteHart Lane last week and has admitted he was also courted by Liverpoolbefore being lured to north London.[LNB]Under pressure: A number of Van der Vaart's international team-mates were pressing him to join them [LNB]Redknapp claimed Bayern failed in an £18m bid the day before Spurs made their swoop, but the Holland international disagrees.[LNB]He said: 'Liverpool were interested, Bayern were never interested,but you have to have a good feeling and this manager gave me a goodfeeling and I am really happy to be going to Spurs.'[LNB]And he revealed his international team-mates who already play forPremier League clubs were coercing him to join them.[LNB]'They were telling me that I should come to England; now I am going to be playing in England and am very proud he said.[LNB]'I am going to be playing against Dirk Kuyt, Nigel De Jong, Johnny Heitinga, so it's good.'[LNB]He added: 'I will give it my best and hopefully I will play a lot of games and will be important for the team.[LNB]'I hope to score goals, make good some good passes and give the fans some fun.'[LNB]  Spurs are as good as Arsenal!
