Rafael Benitez piles pressure on Manchester United

Macheda scored the winner for the second league game in a row to keep Sir Alex Ferguson's side a point clear of Liverpool, who beat Blackburn 4-0 in a lunchtime kick-off thanks to goals from Fernando Torres (two), Daniel Agger and David N'Gog. The 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster ensured it was an emotional day at Anfield. Chelsea remain a further three points adrift after holding off a stunning Bolton comeback, winning 4-3 after building a four-goal lead.[LNB]Another underwhelming performance from the champions will do nothing to undermine Rafael Benitez's assertion in the aftermath of his side's comprehensive win that Ferguson is "nervous" as the title race reaches its climax.[LNB] Related ArticlesLiverpool 4 Blackburn 0Macheda rescues UnitedFederico Macheda saves the day for Manchester United againManchester United v Porto: Sir Alex Ferguson wary of Portos physical threatSteven Gerrard injury scare compounds Liverpools miseryFederico Macheda gives belief, says Manchester Uniteds Sir Alex FergusonBenitez said: "He is talking about us because they're feeling the pressure we're putting on them. I know he is nervous, and that is good." He has also dismissed Ferguson's attempts to disparage Liverpool's chances in the title race, quipping that he cannot understand Ferguson's accent.[LNB]He said: "Mind games are for managers who are affected by them. But I don't understand him because he talks in a Scottish accent. Normally I am just worried about my team and I don't care what people say." Benitez may find Ferguson has too much on his plate domestically to discuss Liverpool again in the near future. As well as finding a cure to his team's recent travails, Ferguson has also admitted he has taken the rare step of rebuking Cristiano Ronaldo.[LNB]The Portuguese has struggled recently, giving the ball away and complaining that he is not protected enough by referees. Ferguson, though, has warned him he must take the rough with the smooth.[LNB]Ferguson said: "We don't accept giving the ball away from anyone and I have had words with him. Cristiano feels he is not getting the proper protection and in some cases, that's right, but in others it's not. An entertainer like him cannot have everything his own way. He knows that. It's just frustration and he gets upset about it sometimes." [LNB]
