Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez hailed his side's fantastic display as the Reds cruised into the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 7-0 demolition of hapless Birmingham City at St Andrew's.
There was never any doubt about the result after two goals in the opening five minutes had put Benitez's side in complete control as the previously shot-shy Merseysiders made it 15 goals in their last three matches.
"I am delighted with the result and the display of the team," the Liverpool boss said after the match.
"It was a fantastic performance and this is the first time as a senior coach that I've had a side which has scored seven goals in a match.
"We made it very difficult for Birmingham by scoring twice in the first few minutes.
"It wasn't like a league game where you drop three points. They had to try to get back into the game but they left a lot of gaps in defence which we were able to exploit."
