Rafa pleased with win
Rafael Benitez was pleased with last night's result. Liverpool comfortably beat West Ham 3-0 at Anfield last night thanks to goals from Yossi Benayoun, David Ngog and Sotirios Kyrgiakos. The performance pleased Benitez although he did admit the Reds eased up once they'd got the third goal with an eye on Thursday's game against Athletico Madrid. "It was a good result and I thought we did well. They started the game pushing but as soon as we scored the first goal it was easier for us. We then scored the second goal and the third one killed the game," he said. "We could have scored more goals but it was important to control the game and get the three points ahead of a long journey for us."
