Rafael Benitez watched with frustration as Liverpool drew 4-4 with Arsenal[LNB]The memory of giving Manchester United a helping hand rankles with Rafa Benitez, but he still trusts Liverpool's defence.[LNB]Splitting eight goals with Arsenal on Tuesday night may have enthralled the nation, but Benitez put each one down to errors.[LNB]As he prepared for Saturday's trip to Hull, Benitez said: 'Every player can make a mistake, but when you get so many in one game and they all lead to a goal, it is very unusual. It is worrying, as well, of course.[LNB]'You cannot just pretend there is nothing wrong and we made a point of going over each goal in detail. It was simply a case of bad decision-making each time.[LNB]'We have to accept it and try to improve. The key thing is, I know these players. I know their capabilities and I trust them to make sure it does not happen again.'[LNB]Benitez finally revealed his side of the story over the arm-waving gesture that infuriated Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce after the second goal in Liverpool's 4-0 win a fortnight ago.[LNB]'Xabi Alonso and Emiliano Insua were standing over a free-kick and I was shouting orders to them in Spanish,' he said.[LNB]'I kept saying, 'Play it short'because I thought there could be a surprise element. But Xabi just whipped it straight into the area and when Fernando Torres headed itin, he turned round and gave me a big grin.[LNB]'I had to laugh and I just made a sign to say, 'OK, don't listen to me'.'[LNB] Fergie laughs off Benitez blast by insisting his United stars will silence Liverpool with trophy raidLIVERPOOL FC
