Rafa Benitez and Fernando Torres 300[LNB]FERNANDO TORRES has admitted Liverpool's decision to part company with Rafa Benitez was 'best for everyone'.[LNB]The Spanish striker, who is preparing for tonight's World Cup last 16 clash with Portugal, was bitterly disappointed to see Benitez leave earlier this month.[LNB]He was brought to Anfield by Benitez in the summer of 2007 and has often credited the now Inter Milan manager as being responsible for making him a better player.[LNB]However, Torres feels that, after a season of unrelenting pressure and disappointment, a fresh start was needed for the good of all concerned.[LNB] 'At this time I believe it was best for everyone,' Torres said. 'He won everything and last year they demanded too much from him.'[LNB]Torres - who remains a target for Manchester City, Barcelona and Chelsea - has made it clear he will not make any decision on his future until after the World Cup.[LNB]Liverpool have, of course, continually stressed that he is not for sale at any price and have made it clear that no decisions on their playing staff will be made until a new manager is in place.
