So the Suarez saga continues, since before the Confederations Cup the Uraguayan has stated he is uphappy with Liverpool, citing no Champions League football as one of the reasons why he wants to bring his Anfield tenure to an end.

Undoubtedly the controversial 26 year old is a world class player, Real Madrid and Arsenal are in pursuit. With Arsene Wengers Gunners stepping up their interest with a second bid of £40m plus £1 to activate talks.

Liverpool are said to be angry at the bid, it is said they rate their man closer to £55m. Owner John W Henry tweeted: ''What do you think they're smoking over there at Emirates?''

So should Liverpool retain their stubborn stance, and try to keep their star, or should they cash in on the sulky 26 year old?

Suarez mightn't play with the same passion for Liverpool if he is refused a move away from the club. There is dangers of clinging onto a player that's desperate to leave, former want away forward Fernando Torres wasn't the same player for Liverpool towards the end of his Kop career, and he was eventually sold to Chelsea.

The money could go to good use, Ajax pair, attacking midfielder Christien Eriksen and defender Toby Alderweireld would add serious strength in depth to Brendan Rodger's squad. A squad that already has bulked up with the summer acquisitions of keeper Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Carlos Alberto and former Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas.

Perhaps Liverpool would prefer hold out for a Real Madrid bid, surely they'd rather sell him Ancellotti's men than to a Premier League rival. Suarez has publicly stated he dislikes the way the English media treats him, so a move the "galácticos" would suit him well.
