Pulis talks up the Reds

Stoke manager Tony Pulis is astonished some pundits are already writing off Liverpool's title chances after one game. However, he is determined to prolong the misery in the red corner of Merseyside when his side travel to Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday. While Liverpool felt they did not get the rub of the green in the defeat by Tottenham at the weekend, they were clearly off the pace. The critics had a field day, but Pulis said: "It is absolutely ridiculous. "It makes you feel how lucky you are when you have a chairman (Peter Coates) and a club that is pretty stable. May that long continue. "One or two decisions did not go Liverpool's way. If they had, it might have been a different result. I have great respect for them, they are a fantastic football club. We know it is going to be tough."
