Pulis' Palace the main threat to Liverpool glory?

Over a month an a half ago I wrote an article about the possibility of Liverpool winning the league. I cited the blessing in disguise of no champions league football this season, the chemistry between Suarez and Sturridge, and Liverpools hot Anfield form as the reasons why Steven Gerrard could lift the Premer League Crown come May.

Brendan Rodgers' men were as long as 9/1 back then to do so, but since Liverpool have won every Premier League game, and are now as short as 13/8 with some bookmakers to be crowned champions come May. With five games left, Liverpool are in a wonderful position, win every game and the title is theirs.

Massive games at home to title rivals Manchester City this weekend and Chelsea are the games billed as ''must win'' by Liverpool fans. Lets be honest, all games for Liverpool are must wins at this stage. Home advantage is massive in their battles against the two title challengers, and I expect the Anfield crowd to play a big part in helping Liverpool beat both.

Whilst all eyes are rightly on the massive clash with City on Sunday, Liverpool must be wary of the opposition they face on Monday May 5th, Crystal Palace.

Tony Pulis' men may be safe of relegation but wouldn't the Welshman love to add Liverpool to his list of scalps at Selhurst Park. He has made his team very hard to beat, just ask Chelsea, and Liverpool will need to be at their best to come away with all three points.

So just a warning to all Liverpool fans who think the league is won if they beat both title rivals, a daunting trip to Selhurst Park could be a potential banana skin in the title race.
