The season is drawing to a close and the nominees for the 2013 PFA Players' Player of the Year have officially been announced.

The PFA Players' Player of the Year is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the year across all the professional leagues in England. There has been no shortage of worthy contenders, however six names have now been short-listed as stand-out performers this season.

This year's leading goal scorer in the Premier League, Liverpool's Luis Suarez has amazed us all with his dazzling, clinical displays this season. The Uruguayan has firmly established himself as Liverpool's brightest attacking spark.

With 22 goals from 32 appearances this season in the Premier League, Luis Suarez is currently in line to claim the Golden Boot award, given to the League's top scorer.

But it is not only the Premier League where Suarez has shined. In 40 appearances in all competitions, Liverpool's hit-man has scored 29 times.

Suarez's tireless work ethic paired with his ability to squeeze in and out of tight situations has been a defenders worst nightmare this campaign, and has seen the Liverpool faithful fall in love with their number 7.
