Pellegrini in talks for manager job
Manuel Pellegrini has emerged as the surprise contender for the vacant manager job at Anfield. The former Real Madrid coach has held talks with Kenny Dalglish and odds are tumbling on him being named as the next manager. Pellegrini left Real last month after only one season in charge at the Bernabeu. Despite failing to win La Liga or the Champions League he did lead the club to a record 96 points in the season.
