Owners want improvement

Liverpool's owners know the club needs to see an immediate improvement on the field. John Henry and Tom Werner appeared on a public phone in on LFCTV last night and were left in no doubt what fans think of Roy Hodgson and the results and performances this Liverpool team are producing. Although the owners gave their backing to Hodgson, they admitted results need to improve quickly. "Nobody, least of all Roy, is happy about our performance last weekend," said Reds chairman Werner. "We all know we have to perform better, especially on the road, although I read a statistic that under Rafa we only won one game on the road in 2010 under his tenure. "We believe in what Roy's doing and we certainly feel like the performance has to improve and he'd be the first to say that.” Principal owner Henry added: “There's no doubt the play that has gone on this season, and for the last half of last season, is unacceptable for Liverpool to accomplish what it wants to accomplish. “"We’'re in sync with the fans with regard to what it's going to take for this club going forward."
