ShareIpswich have not received a single offer for teenage striker Connor Wickham, boss Paul Jewell insisted on Monday. [LNB]Wickham, 18, has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs with Liverpool said to be leading the chase for the ?10million-rated ace. [LNB]But Jewell said: 'Everybody is talking about Connor Wickham but we have had no offers for any of our players and that includes him. [LNB] Great expectations: Connor Wickham (left) is tipped for the top[LNB]'The good thing about it is that I don't have to sell anybody, unless it's an offer that we feel is right and we want it to happen or a player doesn't want to be here. [LNB]'There have been enquiries but no offers. Enquiries don't mean a thing. I could ring Barcelona and enquire about Messi but it doesn't mean I'll get him.'[LNB] But Jewell accepts the situation could change in a matter of weeks and Wickham, on England duty in the European Under 21 Championship in Denmark, could still move on before the big kick-off in August. [LNB] Mixing with the big boys: Wickham against Arsenal in the Carling Cup[LNB] He added: 'Jordan Henderson and Phil Jones have moved for big money but things will really start to hot up when we come back for pre-season. [LNB]'I know how it works. A manager will think he's got his squad together then something will happen injury-wise and he'll start looking around to see what's available. [LNB]'There is no point in getting uptight about it. We don't want to sell Connor Wickham but if he wants to leave and the right offer comes in we will have to consider it. [LNB]'Connor has never given me any indication that he wants to leave. Our backs are not against the wall and we are in control of the situation.'[LNB] Sunderland set to steal march over Liverpool in race for Ipswich starlet WickhamWill England's new golden generation do any better than the previous lot?England expects: What does the nation's next raft of internationals have to offerTeam-by-team guide to the European Under 21 Championships in Denmark [LNB]  Explore more:People: Paul Jewell Places: Liverpool, Barcelona, United Kingdom, Denmark
