New deal for Soto

Sotirios Kyrgiakos has earned himself a 12 month contract extension. Kyrgiakos's two original two year contract expires this Summer. However, it contained a clause that entitled the Greek defender to another year should he play a certain number of games last season. With Kyrgiakos making 28 first team appearances last season that clause has been activated. This may explain why Danny Wilson is being allowed to join Rangers on a season long loan.
