Napoli - No Lavezzi offers

Napoli have rubbished reports they have received offers from Premier League clubs for highly-rated striker Ezequiel Lavezzi. The Argentina international's agent recently claimed that Liverpool were among a number of teams chasing his £12million-rated client's services. It is understood that the Reds are keen to secure striking reinforcements for another attempted assault on the Premier League title next season. But manager Rafa Benitez has previously stated that he has not made an offer for Lavezzi, and Napoli insist they have not been officially approached by Liverpool or any other club. Napoli general director Pierpaolo Marino told Italian press: "Napoli have not received any requests for Lavezzi from official channels. We own his contract and we have not placed Lavezzi on the market."
