Mutu - Reds no big deal

Adrian Mutu does not believe Fiorentina will kick up a fuss if they topple Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. The pair meet at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with the Viola looking to get their campaign back on track after losing in Lyon while the Reds squeezed past Debrecen. Liverpool have twice reached the Champions League final in the past five years and scooped the title in 2005 following a famous shoot-out victory over AC Milan. Mutu believes that not so long ago teams would get excited about seeing off Rafa Benitez's side, however, the Romanian thinks it would not be a big deal for them. "Once upon a time, beating Liverpool would be a famous win and you could make a fuss, but no more," he told The Sun. "Since I have been in Florence, the team, the club and the whole environment have grown to the point where we can now beat anyone in our stadium." Mutu has revealed the team will not plan to keep the likes of Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard quiet as they are quite happy focusing on their own football. "I am sure we will not make special plans for Fernando Torres or Steven Gerrard, that is not our style," he continued. Mutu, 30, was infamously sacked by Chelsea in 2004 after failing a drugs test and he now faces a worldwide ban unless he pays the Blues £14.65million in compensation this year. "My time in England was not easy. I was young and I had a lot of troubles. But I'm a better player now, more mature and much stronger physically."
