Mizuno Wave Ignitus Boots - Reviewed

Find out what happened when Football.co.uk's Dan Jones laced up a pair of Mizuno Wave Ignitus boots and took them into battle.

Dan writes: "I have worn these boots for four games now and overall I am extremely impressed. They are extremely comfortable and light and also look the part!

"Although not being a pro footballer I do play as a striker and having a good touch and shot is very important. The technology on the boot claims to improve both of these aspects and I have to say, compared to my previous boots they do seem to provide a bit of extra 'stick' when controlling the ball. I also found that any shot off the inside of the foot adds some serious movement on the ball when hit cleanly or with shape.

"The only negative points I could comment would be that the blades version of the boot are not ideal for hard pitches as the blade under the arch of the boot does push into the foot quite significantly. On medium to soft pitches they are perfect. It would be good to have a black colour option for those not so fashion minded!

"Overall I give a 9/10 and say they are well worth the asking price if you are playing a full season on medium-soft pitches."
