Milan Jovanovic admits he is not at his best yet for Liverpool - but insists he will be ready for the upcoming new season.
The Serbia striker, who joined Anfield on a free transfer from Standard Leige, made his full debut in Thursday's 2-0 Europa League win over FK Rabotnicki in Macedonia.
Now Jovanovic cannot wait for the return leg at home next Thursday where he will play in front of the Kop fans for the first time.
'I'm very happy because it's an important victory at the start of the season,' he told Liverpoolfc.tv.'I am not 100 per cent yet, but I am working hard to help the team. My best is still to come and I hope that at the beginning of the league season I can hit top gear. I expect us to have a successful season.'
On his Anfield debut, he added: 'It'll be very special for me,' he added. 'To make my first appearance at Anfield will be fantastic. I can't wait.'
