Meireles hoping to break duck

Raul Meireles is hoping to score his first Liverpool goal. The Portugese international has scored a couple of goals for his country since joining the Reds, including a wonder goal against Iceland earlier this month, but has yet to break his duck in a Red shirt. It's something he's looking to do as soon as possible. "I had some opportunities to score against Blackburn including a great chance in the first half, but the most important thing for me is the team and the victory," said Meireles. "I would like to score my first goal for Liverpool and feel the joy of the fans. "It is always a special feeling to score a goal and to do it for Liverpool, especially at Anfield, would be a fantastic moment. "I do like to try a shot from distance during a game and it's something I feel comfortable with it. "The goal I scored against Iceland was a bit lucky but hopefully I can get one for Liverpool soon."
