McParland wants more

Notts County manager Ian McParland admitted he expected more from his side after watching them draw 2-2 with a Liverpool XI side on Friday night. Defenders Mike Edwards and Graeme Lee found the net as the Magpies completed their pre-season preparations against a youthful Reds outfit. McParland told the club's official website: "We didn't start for 20 minutes really, but when we did start playing we got on top. "Liverpool have a good young team and they used the ball well, but with the chances we had we should have had five or six goals. "I want us to pass the ball, but I felt we overpassed at times - but in all it was a good workout."
