Maxi Rodriguez keen to stay at Liverpool

Maxi Rodriguez is keen to stay at Liverpool next season insisting he is happy to play whenever selected by the club.[LNB]The Argentina international has enjoyed a rich vein of form of late, scoring four goals in his last two games including a hat-trick against Birmingham.[LNB] The club's American owners are thought to be keen to slash the wage bill for next term and Rodriguez, said to be earning ?90,000-a-week, could be one of the main casualties this summer.[LNB] Happy to stay: Maxi Rodriguez wants to remain at Liverpool next season[LNB]But the 30-year-old, who arrived at Anfield in January 2010 on a free transfer from Atletico Madrid, has is heart set on staying and helping the club become a force in Europe and in the Premier League next year.[LNB]'I am really happy here,' he said. [LNB]'The people have treated us really well. The type of life we have here, the way of life, is very different to what we were used to after nine years in Spain but I am enjoying everything.[LNB]'How can you not enjoy it? I am at a great club and it is great to play here.'[LNB]Rodriguez has made 34 appearances for the Reds this season, scoring seven goals in the Barclays Premier League helping Kenny Dalglish's side recover from a dreadful start to the season under former boss Roy Hodgson and into fifth place.[LNB]While he has not been a first team regular for some spells during the season, the midfielder insists the team comes first and he is happy to be a part of it.[LNB] All smiles: Rodriguez is enjoying playing under current Reds boss Kenny Dalglish[LNB]He said: 'I can only talk about myself in terms of the fringe players having confidence, but I have always trusted in my condition and in my abilities. and the manager knows that I am ready to play whenever he calls on me.[LNB]'Whether I play or not does not matter. The team is the most important thing.[LNB]'You can see now that the entire team has so much confidence.[LNB]'Everything comes from results. If the team had enjoyed some better results at the start of the season, we would be standing here talking about other things.[LNB]'But now Kenny [Dalglish] came and he is a coach who knows everything about football.
