Mata's contract dispute pushes winger closer to £16.5m Liverpool move

Valencia winger Juan Mata has revealed Rafa Benitez's interest in signing him while the player's father has hinted at problems within the Spanish club that could push Mata towards a £16.5million move to Liverpool.[LNB]Mata is in sensational form in Spain's La Liga but Valencia's financial problems mean the club could be forced to accept an offer for the 21-year-old midfielder, according to The Sun.[LNB]Although the player in under contract until 2012, he is only earning around £10,000-a-week.
