Mascherano eyes Benitez reunion

Javier Mascherano is keen to move to Inter Milan where he will be reunited with former Liverpool boss Rafa Benietz.

The Argentina international has been unsettled at Anfield for the last 12 months and was linked with a transfer to Barcelona last summer.

His Italian representative, Marco Piccioli, was quoted as saying: "I know Javier and Benitez have a great relationship. Sometimes that's not enough but we will see.

"A deal can only happen towards the latter part of the transfer market, that's my vision at least."

The 26-year-old made his Liverpool debut in February 2007 and has gone on to feature in 138 games for the Reds.
