Martin Skrtel is glad to have Andy Carroll as a Liverpool team-mate as it means he can stop having nightmares about the big striker. [LNB]Carroll was on target for Newcastle in a a 3-1 win over the Reds earlier in the season - just a few weeks before a ?35million switch to Anfield. [LNB]Skrtel had a torrid time against the England international and the Slovakian defender told Liverpool's website: 'I remember this game and it was very difficult for us defenders because he is a great player. He's strong and a big lad and it's very difficult to play against him. [LNB] On the same side: Striker Carroll (left) and Liverpool defender Skrtel[LNB]'Now I am happy he is in our team. It's good to have a player like him in our team. [LNB]'He's definitely one of the toughest strikers I've played against in the Premier League. He's strong, he is good with his head and he can keep the ball. [LNB]'I don't know how defenders will feel but they could be scared because Carroll and (Luis) Suarez is a very strong forward line.' [LNB]Carroll has made two substitute appearances for Liverpool as he closes in on full fitness after a thigh injury while fellow new recruit Suarez has already impressed his new employers. [LNB]Skrtel added: 'Andy can help Luis because he can keep the ball for him. [LNB] 'Luis has more skills and working with the ball. This is good for them working together and could be good for the club.'
