Martin boosts Rovers options

Tranmere caretaker boss Les Parry has secured the services of Liverpool goalkeeper David Martin on a month's loan ahead of the home clash with Brighton. Luke Daniels was sent off during Monday's 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Stockport and serves a one-match ban this weekend. Youngster Joe Collister was in line to deputise for on-loan West Brom stopper Daniels, but Martin could be thrust straight into the starting line-up. Parry said: "Saturday's game is very important for us and with Luke Daniels being suspended we needed an experienced goalkeeper. David will give us that experience and much more as well." Parry handed a debut against Stockport to left-back Zoumana Bakayogo, who was signed last week on a short-term deal until January. He could feature again but Rovers have fitness doubts over Alan Mahon (hamstring) and Ian Thomas-Moore (foot).
