Manchester United v Liverpool FA Cup tie: Fans warned about drunkenness

LIVERPOOL FC fans travelling to Manchester for Sunday's hotly-anticipated FA Cup tie were today warned bad behaviour and drunkenness will not be tolerated.[LNB]Officers from Merseyside police have been working with colleagues at the Greater Manchester force to ensure the third round clash with Manchester United is only remembered for what happens on the pitch.[LNB]Around 9,000 Reds fans have tickets for the 1.30pm game and those without were today warned against travelling to Manchester.[LNB]Police went to magistrates for an emergency order to ensure no booze is sold before kick-off around Old Trafford.[LNB] They also warned fans of both Manchester United and Liverpool that drunk fans will not be allowed into the stadium, although followers of both teams will be allowed to buy alcohol from bars inside the stadium.[LNB]After the match, Liverpool fans may be kept in their seats for a short time while the home fans disperse, before being escorted to their transport.
