Roberto Mancini's side are up against it having lost 2-0 in Kiev and face an uphill task to progress to the quarter-finals.[LNB]Following City are Liverpool, who are also on the back foot when they host Braga at Anfield in their last 16 tie having lost the first leg 1-0. Kenny Dalglish will be hoping his side can overturn the deficit which would keep their chances of a trophy this season alive. Email me your thoughts on the game at dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk[LNB] Liverpool 0-0 Braga (8.05pm) Aggregate: 0-1 FTLiverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher,Skrtel, Wilson, Maxi (Spearing 75), Lucas, Meireles, Cole (Ngog 75), Carroll, Kuyt.Subs:Gulacsi, Pacheco, Kyrgiakos, Poulsen, Flanagan.[LNB]Braga:Artur Moraes, Miguel Garcia, Paulao, Rodriguez, Silvio, Alan, LeandroSalino (massaro 89), Vandinho (Kaka 74), Hugo Viana, Paulo Cesar, Lima (Meyong 84).Subs: Cristiano, Helder Barbosa, Dani, Peterson.[LNB]Referee: Gianluca Rocchi (Italy)[LNB]22.11: Not a great night for British clubs in Europe but there is still three Premier League teams in the Champions league and you can follow Sportsmail's coverage of that quarter-final draw live tomorrow.[LNB]Thank your for following tonight, that is all from me here.[LNB]22.08: The final eight then:[LNB]Benfica, Dynamo Kiev, Twente, Spartak Moscow, Porto, PSV, Villarreal and Braga.[LNB]22.06: Elsewhere Porto held onto their 2-1 lead on the night against CSKA Moscow to progress, while Villarreal also go through ahead of Bayer Leverkusen after Giuseppe Rossi doubled the Spanish side's lead before Eren Derdiyok hit a late consolation.[LNB]22.03: And I'm afraid that sums up Liverpool, they just haven't been good enough. What a scalp that is for Braga though.[LNB]Rangers also crash out 1-0 on aggregate to PSV after their defeat tonight but that doesn't tell half the story.[LNB]Denied a blatant penalty after a handball on the line from Atiba Hutchinson, the defender should be sent off but escaped completely unpunished along with his team. So much for Platini's five officials seeing EVERYTHING.[LNB]22.00: From InfostradaLive:[LNB]Liverpool scored just 1 goal in their last 5 European matches, their lowest scoring rate ever in 5 successive EC matches.[LNB]Full-time: Liverpool 0-0 Braga (Braga win 1-0 on aggregate)[LNB]90+3min: Everyone is in the Braga half but that bus is well and truly parked.[LNB]90+2min: Liverpool with a free-kick 30 yards out and Raul Meireles steps over it.[LNB]He chips it in but it's just too high for Ngog as it sails out for a goal kick.[LNB]90min: Liverpool have four minutes to save themselves.[LNB]89min: Coming on for Braga's final sub is Mossoro and he replaces Leandro Salino.[LNB]88min: We are entering last chance saloon zone, and Braga who have played an attacking line-up all match are defending heavily now.[LNB]85min: How's your luck? Carroll wins the header from the corner and it is heading for the back of the net before Kuyt unfortunately gets his head in the way.[LNB]Barga don't clear properly though and moments later Skrtel's close range effort is well parried away by Artur Moraes.[LNB]84min: We didn't see this from City, Liverpool are piling on the pressure now and as they win a corner Braga make a sub.[LNB]Albert Meyong is on for Lima.[LNB]81min: We are entering last chance saloon territory, the fans have picked up but the players haven't. Braga still remain robust at the back.[LNB]78min: Good impact from Ngog, he has injected some urgency in the side and after controlling the ball on the edge of the box snaps a shot that is comfortably taken by the keeper.[LNB]75min: Finally Dalglish acts, sending on Jay Spearing and David Ngog for Maxi Rodriguez and Cole.[LNB]74min: Last week's villain Kaka is on for Vandinho who is (rightly) booked for time wasting as he goes off.[LNB]72min: Nice effort from Viana, his low powerful shot finds its way through but Reina manages to get himself behind it to make a comfortable save.[LNB]71min: Silly from Martin Skrtel as he needlessly Leandro Salino giving away a free-kick 30 yards out. He is booked.[LNB]70min: Music to the ears of Braga, the home fans are starting to show their frustration and that can't rub off well on the Liverpool players.[LNB] Frustration: Raul Meireles reacts after a chance goes begging[LNB]67min: I'm still trying to remember the last save Artur Moraes made. Off the top of my head it was that Cole chance right at the start of the game. Not good enough.[LNB]64min: We have settled into the pattern of the first half. Braga have shown no sign of freezing under the Anfield spotlight and look comfortable. [LNB]Match winners or not Dalglish must be thinking about shaking things up here with a sub or two.[LNB]61min: Braga have not dropped off though, in fact they win a corner after an attacking spell, but Viana's cross to the near post is easily cleared.[LNB]But it comes straight back in and Lima unmarked and ruled onside flashes a close range shot just wide.[LNB]Replays show he was marginally off but Liverpool have got away with that.[LNB]58min: Must do better will be his school report. Kuyt's cross is floated towards Raul Meireles on the penalty spot, but his header lacks power and direction despite being unmarked and it flies over.[LNB]57min: Nearly an hour gone and still no breakthrough. Bit worried looking at that Liverpool bench. Not many 'match winners' on it, if any at all.[LNB]54min: Half-chance for Rodriguez the ball doesn't bounce in his favour on the edge of the box and his volley easily clears the crossbar. Much better from the hosts though.[LNB]51min: Paulao is fuming at Carroll, the striker takes a wild swing after losing out to the defender in a 50/50 and is booked after a few angry words from the Brazilian.[LNB]Gianluca Rocchi quite animated in the way he hands out his cards, made me smile.[LNB]49min: Risky stuff from Artur Moraes, I wouldn't try this with Kuyt sprinting towards me. He tries to shepherd the ball out but as it loses pace has to take make quite a cynical block on the Dutchman who was always going to chase that lost cause to the end.[LNB] Are you blind? Lucas remonstrates with the fifth official[LNB]47min: Good start from the  hosts, Cole twists and turns on the right before delivering a cross that again just clears Carroll by inches.[LNB]Second-half: No changes for the as Liverpool go in search of the Holy Grail...(a goal).[LNB]21.03: Should have seen it coming, this from InfostradaLive:[LNB]Liverpool have now scored only one goal before half-time in their last nine matches in European competition[LNB]21.00: All the drama is in Porto with the hosts leading 3-1 on aggregate and 2-1 on the night against CSKA Moscow.[LNB]Hulk scored in the first minute before former Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic equalised for the visitors. Fredy Guarin restored Porto's lead before half-time.[LNB]Santi Cazorla has got the only goal in the game for Villarreal against Bayer Leverkusen where the Spanish side lead 4-2 on aggregate.[LNB]20.56: Not much better news for Rangers who are struggling to break down PSV. They are a goal down and because of the away goal rule now need two to win.[LNB]They can't even get a shot on target at the moment let alone a goal.[LNB]20.53: An uninspiring first half from Liverpool and that suits Braga just fine.[LNB]The visitors never looked in danger of conceding and if it stays like this they will progress to the quarter-finals.[LNB]Half-time: Liverpool 0-0 Braga[LNB]45min: Half-chance for Carroll. Maxi Rodriguez sends in a cross but despite not being favourite to win the header, makes contact and it sails just wide.[LNB]43min: Paulao is back on and as Cole homes in on him, he takes no chances in smacking away for a corner.[LNB]Raul Meireles' cross is punched  away by Artur Moares before Kuyt goes down holding his head after contesting a header with Paulao.[LNB]There does seem to be use of the arm but not as bad as Kaka's last week.[LNB] Not close enough: Lucas (right) is blocked by Junior Rodriguez[LNB]41min: How many fingers am I holding up Paulao? The defender receives treatment after an innocent clash of heads with Carroll while contesting a header. The Geordie boy hardly flinched.[LNB]38min: More good football from Liverpool, they quickly switch flanks but I still think they are going for the Carroll ball too early. Danny Wilson crosses from deep in space but Artur Moraes is quick out his goal to beat the striker to the ball.[LNB]He is clipped in the process, winning a free-kick and eats up a few seconds as he takes a breather.[LNB]35min: Cheap free-kick to give away for Liverpool. Lucas' has his arm all over Paulo Cesar who goes down quite easily it has to be said.[LNB]The free-kick is from the left of the box but the hosts clear easily enough.[LNB]34min: Better from Liverpool, Glen Johnson sends Dirk Kuyt away on the right but his cross is just a little too high for Carroll to get his head on it, nice play.[LNB]31min: It's too direct from Liverpool. They keep looking for the long ball to Carroll and are going to have to be a bit more savvy. The visitors finding it very easy to defend.[LNB]28min: Liverpool are fading here, Braga in fact are probably the better side. Kenny Dalglish will not be happy his side have become very sloppy on the ball.[LNB]25min: Corner for Braga after poor defensive play sees Lima have a shot from the edge of the box that just deflects wide.[LNB]Any thoughts that Liverpool would just turn up an win should be reassessed, they are in a game here.[LNB]22min: Slightly quiet home crowd and the visitors seem to be growing in confidence. the home fans are going to have to raise the decibel level here as Braga are settling well.[LNB]19min: Interesting tactic from Braga, it seems every long ball to Carroll acts as a magnet as two visiting defenders instantly latch on to him. Good opening from the visitors who have shown good attacking intent at the very least.[LNB] In the thick of it: Liverpool's Andy Carroll controls the ball (29) [LNB] [LNB]17min: It's gone a bit stale at Anfield where remember Liverpool need to score at least once to qualify themselves.[LNB]14min: Bad news if you are a Rangers fan. PSV have grabbed an away goal through Jeremain Lens and the hosts now need two goals to reach the quarter-finals.[LNB]11min: For those who didn't follow last week and are eagle eyed. You will notice Carroll is wearing the No 29 shirt. UEFA rules stipulate only one player can wear one shirt number and Fernando Torres has already wore Carroll's usual No 9 shirt in this competition.[LNB]8min: And he nearly scores! Andy Carroll's knock down is latched on to by Cole and his shot across goal is well saved by Artur Moraes.[LNB]From a corner Carroll then rises highest to head wide, he looks like he too will play a crucial role this evening.[LNB]4min: Good even start to this game, it seems the Portuguese side have not come to defend. Joe Cole looking sharp for the hosts.[LNB]1min: Early opening for Braga, Hugo Viana's free-kick fizzing its way through to Pepe Reina in the Liverpool goal.[LNB]Kick-off: After an impeccable minute's silence, we are underway at Anfield.[LNB]20.05: One second half goal in the 6pm kick-offs which means Benfica's draw at PSG is enough to take them through 3-2 on aggregate.[LNB]Twente despite losing 2-0 hang on to defeat Zenit 3-2 on aggregate.[LNB]While Alex added a third for Alex to see Spartak Moscow progress 4-0 overall against Ajax.[LNB]20.02: With that result it means England's hopes for the Europa League rest squarely on Liverpool's shoulders.[LNB]It's more packed at Anfield where the players have made their way out as we approach kick-off.[LNB] Manchester City 1-0 Dynamo Kiev (6pm) Aggregate: 1-2 FTMan City: Hart, Kolarov (Milner 88), Lescott, Kompany, Richards, Barry (Adam Johnson 71), Toure Yaya, De Jong, Balotelli, Tevez, Silva (Dzeko 76).Subs: Taylor, Wright-Phillips, Vieira, Boyata.[LNB]Goals: Kolarov 39.Dynamo Kiev: Shovkovskiy, Danilo Silva, Leandro Almeida, Yussuf, Popov, Gusev, Eremenko, Vukojevic, Yarmolenko (Betao 90+2), Ninkovic (Zozulya 46), Shevchenko (Garmash 62).Subs: Koval, Rybalka, Nesmachniy, Guilherme.[LNB]Referee: Cuneyt Cakir (Turkey) [LNB]19.58: So 10 man City just couldn't find the extra gear they needed to send the game in extra time.[LNB]For me there is only one person to blame and that is Balotelli. He needlessly got himself sent off and a difficult task was made near enough impossible after that moment.[LNB]Despite Kiev's play acting and blatant time wasting they deservedly take their place in the quarter-finals.[LNB]Full-time: Manchester City 1-0 Dynamo Kiev (Dynamo Kiev win 2-1 on aggregate)[LNB]90+6min: Some dissent from Toure after a throw in decision goes against him and he is booked. The end for City me thinks.[LNB]90+4min: They win a free-kick 30 yards out, time to throw everyone up. Toure's shot at goal is clever as it  leaves space for a Tevez flick on. But the Argentine fails to get a touch and the keeper takes.[LNB]90+3min: Half chance for Tevez but he can't get any direction on his shot and it's a comfortable save from Shovkovskiy.[LNB]90+2min: Final change from Kiev who take off Yarmolenko for Betao...it takes almost a minute to complete.[LNB]90+1min: Wow it's all City and they are nearly camped inside Kiev's box. There is still once chance you feel for them.[LNB]90min: Five minutes added on.[LNB]89min: City just can't get the ball and when they do it goes route one instantly without success. hardly any threat from the hosts this half.[LNB]88min: Here comes Milner, on for Kolarov.[LNB]Not your night: De Jong shows his frustration[LNB]87min: Would be interested to see how much time is added on. There must be at least four minutes and that is the very least.[LNB]86min: Finally some football from Kiev. Roman Eremenko has a decent effort from 25 yards that Hart does well to tip over. James Milner is getting ready to come on.[LNB]84min: Right time is running out for City and they have to go for one final onslaught at some point. Someone must tell Mancini there is nothing to lose.[LNB]81min: Nearly some much needed luck there, Kolarov's cross is deflected behind but only just as Shovkovskiy had to scramble to his near post to tip it behind for a corner.[LNB]80min: Yarmolenko collapses in a heap again after a slight push from Kolarov and even the ref is getting fed up of this. He sprints over to the player and tells him to simply get up.[LNB]78min: De Jong goes into the ref's notebook after a late challenge on Gusev.[LNB]76min: Edin Dzeko enters the action replacing Silva. Shaun Wright-Phillips is warming up.[LNB]75min: More time wasting from Kiev this time they change throw in takers at a ridiculously slow pace. They have already been warned once about it but the referee does nothing about the second occurrence.[LNB]72min: More time wasting to come from Kiev, Silva is right booked for a sliding behind tackle on Popov but this is becoming a familiar sight.[LNB]He clutches his leg, goes off on a stretcher before immediately getting up and shaking off his injury.[LNB]71min: Time to earn your money Mancini. Adam Johnson is getting ready to come on.[LNB]And indeed on he comes in place of Gareth Barry, time for a more attacking approach.[LNB]68min: Let-off for City, moments after Hart conceded a soft corner, Garmash's downward header is looping into the corner before Joleon Lescott heads off the line.[LNB]66min: Neil Alexander replaces Allan McGregor in goal for the second leg of Rangers' Europa League last 16 clash against PSV Eindhoven at Ibrox.[LNB]Light Blues manager Walter Smith returned to the 5-4-1 formation which fought out a goalless draw in the first leg in Holland.[LNB]Young midfielder Gregg Wylde comes in for El-Hadji Diouf, who starts on the bench. With Nikica Jelavic ineligible, Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty starts as the lone striker with Steven Naismith named as a substitute after recovering from a hamstring problem.[LNB] That empty feeling: Silva is booked in front of a sparse crowd at Eastlands[LNB]64min: Team news from Ibrox:[LNB]Rangers v PSVRangers: Alexander, Foster, Bougherra, Weir, Papac, Whittaker, Davis, Bartley, Edu, Wylde, Lafferty. Subs: McGregor, Fleck, Naismith, Healy, Diouf, Hutton, Hemmings.PSV: Isaksson, Tamata, Marcelo, Bouma, Pieters, Engelaar, Hutchinson, Lens, Toivonen, Dzsudzsak, Berg. Subs: Cassio, Rodriguez, Vukovic, Koevermans, Wuytens, Bakkal, Zeefuik.Referee: Robert Schorgenhofer (Austria)[LNB]62min: Kompany is booked after a trip on Zozulya who again makes a bit of a meal of it.[LNB]Kiev make their first sub with Shevchenko coming off for Denys Garmash.[LNB]61min: Liverpool's record signing Andy Carroll makes his first start for his new club as they seek to turn around a 1-0 deficit in their Europa League last 16 second leg at Anfield.[LNB]The last time the ?35million striker was named in the first XI was for Newcastle on December 28, the match before he was ruled out for two months with a thigh injury.[LNB]But after two substitute appearances the 22-year-old is thrown straight into the action by manager Kenny Dalglish, presumably influenced by the effect he had when he came on in Portugal a week ago, for the first European start of his career.[LNB]Carroll was one of three changes from the side which lost in Braga, with Maxi Rodriguez and Danny Wilson also coming in at the expense of Sotirios Kyrgiakos, Jay Spearing and Christian Poulsen.[LNB]It is a landmark game for two Liverpool players, goalkeeper Jose Reina making his 300th Reds appearance and Jamie Carragher equalling former captain Emlyn Hughes' record of 45 games in this competition.[LNB]Braga make two changes, bringing in captain Vandinho after a month out injured and Paulao[LNB]59min: Team news from Anfield:[LNB]Liverpool v BragaLiverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Wilson, Maxi, Lucas, Meireles, Cole, Carroll, Kuyt. Subs: Gulacsi, Pacheco, Kyrgiakos, Ngog, Spearing, Poulsen, Flanagan.Braga: Artur Moraes, Miguel Garcia, Paulao, Rodriguez, Silvio, Alan, Leandro Salino, Vandinho, Hugo Viana, Paulo Cesar, Lima. Subs: Cristiano, Kaka, Mossoro, Helder Barbosa, Meyong, Dani, Peterson.Referee: Gianluca Rocchi (Italy)[LNB] Tussle: David Silva (left) and Yarmolenko battle for the ball[LNB]57min: I have to question Kiev's game plan here. They are going down under every single City challenge. Popov is the latest to make a miraculous recovery after a slight trip from Kompany where he seemed to be in agony. I can see a few minutes added time at the end of this game.[LNB]54min: But that is the bad side of him, Yarmolenko is hardly touched by De Jong in an off-the-ball incident, yet goes down in absolute agony. Borderline cheating.[LNB]53min: Nice try from Andriy Yarmolenko, Hart is slightly off his line and the forward hits a first time effort from 35 yards that just zips past the post.[LNB]52min: This is the most I have seen Kiev with the ball in a long time, they are trying their best to dictate the play and it's become an easier job since Balotelli's dismissal.[LNB]49min: Nasty collision that, Tevez and Leandro Almeida both go in for a loose ball and both come out in absolute agony. Both go in with a high foot but it's Leandro that's booked and it could have so easily have been Tevez instead. City fortunate not to be down to nine men there.[LNB]48min: Kolarov has an early sighter at goal that is easy enough for Shovkovskiy but the full-back looks to be struggling and is limping around. Hopefully it is something he can just run off.[LNB]Second-half: We are underway again, what are City made of?[LNB]19.01: There has been a sub from Kiev with Ninkovic replaced by young striker Roman Zozulya.[LNB]18.56: Scores elsewhere:[LNB]Paris St. Germain's Mathieu Bodmer cancelled out Nicolas Gaitan's early strike for Benfica to leave the scores 1-1, the Portugese side are 3-2 up on aggregate.[LNB]Zenit are on course for a remarkable comeback after taking a 2-0 lead against Tewnte, courtesy of goals from Roman Shirakov and Aleksandr Kerzhakov, they trail by just one goal on aggregate.[LNB]And Spratak Moscow have increased their aggregate lead to 3-0 over Ajax after goals from Dmitri Kombarov and Welliton.[LNB]18.52: Game on, 10 men or not City are not out of this and they need just one goal to take this to extra time. They are more than capable.[LNB] Back in business: Kolarov fires in City's first goal of the evening[LNB]Half-time: Manchester City 1-0 Dynamo Kiev[LNB]45+1min: Yaya Toure has a first time shot from the edge of the box but with little time to compose himself it goes well wide.[LNB]45min: And now Tevez is booked after a decision for a throw in goes against him, he almost screams in the linesman's face in protest and it is blatant dissent.[LNB]43min: Milos Ninkovic is the latest player to be booked after catching Nigel de Jong late in a challenge.[LNB]41min: A little warning from the visitors, Gusev swings a corner in that Joe Hart just manages to get to before a Kiev attacker does.[LNB]39min: GOAL! MANCHESTER CITY 1-0 Dynamo Kiev[LNB]And from that free-kick City pounce! Aleksandar Kolarov hits a low strike that takes a deflection off Tevez before squirming under the keeper. Lifeline at the most unlikeliest of times for the hosts![LNB]38min: It's all going wrong City but they win a free-kick after Tevez is brought down by Yussuf just outside the box, he is booked. [LNB] Red mist: Balotelli receives his marching orders[LNB]36min: RED CARD (Mario Balotelli, Manchester City)[LNB]This is bonkers, this is crazy even by Balotelli standards! Goran Popav simply clears a ball that comes to him and the striker lunges at him with a high foot which connects with the player thigh. [LNB]No point arguing about whether he went for the ball, there was no intention of that whatsoever.[LNB]33min: Even Andriy Shevchenko is defending the cause now as City win successive corners, Kiev though manage to clear. A crucial period in the match this.[LNB]30min: There is goals in this for City, the visitors are not looking that strong at the back and the gaps are there to exploit.[LNB]City just need to go up the gears to find them.[LNB]27min: What a night Balotelli is having. David Silva's shot on goal is a rocket from inside the box, but it hits the Italian before going out for a goal kick.[LNB]Replays show the initial shot may have already been going wide, not a good omen for this evening though.[LNB]25min: One thing possibly against City is we have a fussy referee tonight, he seems to be giving plenty of 50/50s in Kiev's favour. That could also lead to a stop-start game which again suits the visitors.[LNB]22min: Finally some signs of City turning the screw. Olexandr Shovkovskiy has to come out a long way to punch out a cross and the visitors are dropping further and further back.[LNB]19min: No attacking threat from Kiev but they are strolling this, the hosts just can't find a way through, and have lost all their urgency from the opening few minutes.[LNB]16min: That Balotelli chance early on is proving more crucial by the minute, there has been hardly any goalmouth action since and City are still playing too slow.[LNB] Howler: Balotelli wasted a fantastic chance to put City ahead early on[LNB]13min: Better from Balotelli, Aleksandar Kolarov's corner finds the striker 16 yards out but a difficult header under pressure just clears the crossbar.[LNB]11min: Oleh Gusev's ball in is well cleared by Vincent Kompany, time for City to regain their composure.[LNB]10min: Don't question Tevez's commitment to the cause, the forward ends up at his own corner flag trying to win possession back for his own side and succeeds too, Kiev win a free-kick 35 yards out moments later.[LNB]7min: Kiev have weathered that early storm and are just trying to keep some possession, I am still getting over that Balotelli miss.[LNB]4min: How has Balotelli missed this?! Micah Richards' low ball across goal is perfect but the Italian skies his shot first time over the bar. I would expect more from a ?2million striker let alone one worth ?23million.[LNB]3min: A good start from City, there is some urgency in their play and Carlos Tevez has already gone down twice under pressure. [LNB]Kick-off: Kiev get us underway[LNB]18.00: As with the Champions League games this week, there will be a minute's silence for the tragedies in Japan.[LNB]'With you Japan' is the banner shown and thankfully unlike the Champions League ties, this was impeccably observed.[LNB] Observed: Manchester City players stand during the minute's silence[LNB]17.57: Teams are out at Eastlands, not a packed stadium at all but then people are still just leaving work and football games are not cheap as you may expect.[LNB]17.54: The teams lineup in the tunnel, City were out quite early and the players at least look focused.[LNB]Genuinely excited about this match and this night, the Europa League just got serious.[LNB]17.51: My words of advice for Mancini. Ditch this Catenaccio stuff and play with some tempo.[LNB]European teams really do struggle with a quick attack and I expect Kiev will be no different.[LNB]17.48: The crazy world of Mario Balotelli! Last week he was 15 seconds late for the second-half, which I have never seen before.[LNB]While this week he displayed some incredible scenes in the pre-match warm up.[LNB]Given the tough task of putting a bib on, the Italian struggled and needed a coach to not only help him put the bib on but tell him where to put his arms.[LNB]Not happy with that bib, he tries another but faced the same difficulties. In the end he gives up and just disposes of it.[LNB]Completely madcap but he is a great character to watch![LNB]17.45: Mario Balotelli is recalled to the Manchester City side for this Europa League last 16 second leg match against Dynamo Kiev at Eastlands.[LNB]The Italian striker was forced off in Ukraine last week after suffering an allergic reaction.[LNB]Balotelli was only on the bench in the FA Cup victory against Reading on Sunday but, with City needing to overcome a two-goal deficit, manager Roberto Mancini drafts him in.[LNB]He replaces Shaun Wright-Phillips with Gareth Barry coming in for Patrick Vieira in the only other change.[LNB]England winger Adam Johnson is named on the bench after the best part of two months out with an ankle injury, with his return coming ahead of schedule.[LNB]17.42: Just time to let you know that extra-time or not, the Liverpool - Braga game will follow after (during) this match, as will updates of Rangers clash with PSV. Both those games kick off at 8.05pm.[LNB]17.39: More news on Kiev's awful record in England from InfostradaLive, and it makes for good reading if you are a City fan:[LNB]Since a 1-1 draw at Arsenal in October 1998 Dynamo Kiev have lost in six straight visits to England.[LNB]17.36: At least they have a secret weapon on the bench. Adam Johnson has been an underrated star for me this season and if City need a goal late on, he is a brilliant option to have on your bench. [LNB]17.33: One positive is Dynamo Kiev have never won in England, but they don't need to. You feel City must keep a clean sheet here. If they concede they must score at least four to remain in the tournament due to that pesky away goal rule.[LNB]17.30: In all honesty no one was expecting Dynamo Kiev to be a cakewalk but that makes City's task no easier. They look naked without an away goal and will have to be all guns blazing from the get go.[LNB]17.25: If Chelsea had an easy time of it last night in reaching their European quarter-final then get ready to change your tune, as both English sides tonight face big tests to reach the last eight of the Europa League.[LNB]First up, the side with the harder of the two games, Manchester City. They have had an easy ride of the Europa League so far but in their first real challenge are staring European elimination in the face.[LNB]Team news from a nervous Eastlands:[LNB]Man City v Dynamo KievMan City: Hart, Kolarov, Lescott, Kompany, Richards, Barry, Toure Yaya, De Jong, Balotelli, Tevez, Silva. Subs: Taylor, Milner, Wright-Phillips, Dzeko, Adam Johnson, Vieira, Boyata.Dynamo Kiev: Shovkovskiy, Danilo Silva, Leandro Almeida, Yussuf, Popov, Gusev, Eremenko, Vukojevic, Yarmolenko, Ninkovic, Shevchenko.
