Lucas: Reds remain under pressure
ucas Leiva recognises that Liverpool are still under a huge amount of pressure as they battle to escape the Premier League relegation zone.[LNB] The Brazilian helped defeat Blackburn at Anfield on Sunday to record a first win in six league matches and slightly ease the criticism of boss Roy Hodgson.[LNB]Liverpool's next match sees them travel to Bolton on Sunday afternoon and while Lucas thinks that confidence should be taken from the Blackburn victory, he knows there is still a lot of hard work ahead.[LNB]The 23-year-old told Liverpool's official website: "We were under a lot of pressure before Blackburn and to be honest we still are because we are not in a comfortable position in the table, but we believe in ourselves. [LNB]"We'll go into the next game with a lot more confidence and hopefully we can win a few games in a row.[LNB]"The Premier League is so competitive. You can't name one game that's easy. I think it's the most competitive league in the world. [LNB]"Players who aren't here don't realise how physical it is. They only realise when they come here. It's a very difficult league to play in.[LNB]"But we have to go to Bolton and try to play the same way we did at Anfield and for sure if we do that we'll have a big chance of winning."[LNB]He added: "We are six points behind the top four and that shows how competitive the league is, so if we can get two or three wins in a row we'll be up there."[LNB]Lucas has also been happy with his own form for both club and country having made three successive starts for Brazil under new coach Mano Menezes, who knows the midfielder from their time together at Gremio. [LNB]"I'm pleased with the way I played at the weekend and with how I'm playing since last season," said Lucas. [LNB]"I think I'm improving all the time. I only have to do one thing: work and try to be better every single day."
