Liverpool's legends of 2005 - Where are they now?

On May 25, 2005 Liverpool produced arguably the greatest comeback in the history of the Champions League, coming from 3-0 down in the second half, to eventually beat the Italian Giants, AC Milan, 3-2 on penalties after extra-time. It is a game that will be etched in many football fans memories for a lifetime. But where are they now?? Here’s an update on their lives…

Starting Line-up

Jerzy Dudek (40) - Came out of retirement in June 2013 to claim his 60th Cap for Poland in a friendly v Liechtenstein. Currently, enjoying more time with his family after being Euro 2012 Ambassador for Poland.

Steve Finnan (37) - Co-owns Finnan Developments in London, with his brother; a property development and investment company.

Jamie Carragher (35) - Sky Sports pundit, who gives and takes shit to and from Gary Neville before, after and during Premier League games on a weekly basis!

Sami Hyypia (40) - Current manager of German Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen

Djimi Traore (33) - Still playing professionally with the Seattle Sounders FC in the US Major League

Xabi Alonso (32) – Still playing at the highest level with Real Madrid. Rumors he may return to Anfield soon…

Luis Garcia (35) - Playing in Mexico for Club Universidad Nacional as a left winger.

Steven Gerrard (33) – Still a top, top, top player at Liverpool- a living legend!

John Arne Riise (33) - Playing for Fulham on an irregular basis in his notorious left wing back position

Harry Kewell (35) – Playing (well not really) for Melbourne Heart. Always injured. Only one appearance this season for the Australian outfit.

Milan Baros (32) - Based in Turkey, playing for Medical Park Antalyaspor

Dietmar Hamann (40) - Football pundit with numerous TV stations including BBC and Ireland’s RTE.

Djibril Cisse (32) - Playing in Russia for FC Kuban Krasnodar

Vladimir Smicer (40) - Working with the Czech National Team
