Injury-plagued: Daniel Agger (centre) hurt a knee in the defeat at West Brom last weekend[LNB]Daniel Agger is already facing a fight to be ready for pre-season training after Liverpool confirmed the severity of the knee injury that has ended his campaign. [LNB]Agger, 26, hobbled out of the 2-1 defeat at West Bromwich last weekend after damaging a tendon in his left knee and manager Kenny Dalglish revealed it will be two months before he can train again. [LNB]The Denmark central defender's Liverpool career has been plagued by fitness problems and since his ?5million signing from Brondby in January 2006 he has made only 136 appearances.[LNB] Dalglish said: 'Daniel has a problem with the tendon behind his knee and won't be involved again this season. He'll be out for a couple of months before he can start training.'[LNB] It is another blow to Liverpool's hopes of clinching a European spot for next season, which have been hit by a crippling injury list. [LNB]Apart from Agger, Dalglish is expected to receive confirmation that Steven Gerrard's season is over with a groin problem, while both recognised right backs, Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly, are expected to be out for another four weeks with hamstring damage.[LNB] 'We will know about Steven at the end of the week,' said Dalglish. 'He will be assessed and we'll see what the story is. It's disappointing for the players because they want to play in every game.' [LNB]To boost the squad, 17-year-old full backs John Flanagan and Jack Robinson have been promoted from the academy. Jay Spearing is set to be offered a new three-year contract after impressing Dalglish. The 22-year-old midfielder has 12 months left on his current deal.[LNB] Feeling the strain: Glen Johnson (centre) was also injured at the Hawthorns on Satuday[LNB] Coming to get you!
