Liverpool set to complete move for Lille wonderkid

According to L’Equipe via the BBC Liverpool are preparing are bid for 19-year-old Belgium International forward Divock Origi. The move will cost the Anfield club in the region of £10m to convince Lille to part company with the striker. The player, who is the son of former professional footballer Mike Origi is a phenomenal talent with a huge amount of potential given his age.

Origi joined Lille in 2012, scoring six times in 40 appearances and was selected by Marc Wilmots for his 23-man World Cup squad. On as a substitute for Lukaku, Origi scored in the 88th minute of Belgium’s 1-0 win over Russia, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Belgium World Cup history and at 19 years, two months, the youngest of the tournament.

Liverpool will need to be quick as Arsenal and Tottenham are also in the running to sign the striker who is understood to have got his chance to play in Brazil after the injury to Aston Villa hitman Christian Benteke.

Origi said: "As a little boy, I dreamed of playing in the Premier League. But I'm still young and now I'm in an important tournament I'll try to focus on the team and then my entourage will speak with the club and we'll see what I do."
