Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun: I would reject Real Madrid to stay at Anfield

The Israeli international is ready to commit his long-term future to Liverpool, having established himself as a key member of Rafa Benitez's first-team squad. Back in January, the 29-year-old said he would leave if he continued to play a bit part in Liverpool's bid to wrestle the Premier League title away from Manchester United.  Related ArticlesGerrard to express himselfLiverpool lose ground in race for TevezReal up stakes for AlonsoLiverpool deeper in the redTorres signs improved Liverpool dealSport on televisionHowever, Benayoun was instrumental as Liverpool pushed United all the way this season, finishing second just four points behind Sir Alex Ferguson's men. Benayoun said: "I have had some offers so maybe I need to talk with Liverpool. "Unless you are Steven Gerrard, you are going to sit out one or two games. Thankfully I have been playing more and I hope it continues. "It could be Real Madrid knocking on my door, I'd still rather stay at Liverpool." Meanwhile, Benitez is said to have launched another bid to sign David Silva from Valencia. The Spain international tops Benitez's wish list this summer, and Liverpool are believed to have offered £15 million plus Andrei Voronin.
