Liverpool's boy wonder Raheem Sterling on the Real Madrid gift list

Raheem Sterling was always going to be one England player of real interest in the transfer window this summer and after the past few days a few reports have surfaced which are both vague and involving the money-bags of Europe Real Madrid. The prospect of Raheem moving is not an imminent one if the reports from the Mirror and Sun are to be believed.

Reports from the Mirror are suggesting that the Liverpool ace rated England’s most valuable player is being tracked by Real Madrid providing the prospect of a swoop for his services. Real will be keeping close tabs on how the player copes with the demands of the Champions League and will hold-fire until next season with a view to replacing Angel Di Maria.

The 19-year-old was the second youngest player to ever start a match for England at the World Cup and has proven to be a real menace for Liverpool this season with his runs, tricks and goal-scoring ability. Carlo Ancelotti was, according to reports in the Sun on Sunday, weighing up a bid this window for the winger but has decided to wait and see.

The report goes on to suggest the player is due to hold talks over a £100,000-a-week deal with the Anfield club after the World Cup.

Liverpool will go directly into a Champions League group after securing the runners-up spot in the Premier League and would be expected to get a more difficult group due to their recent absence from the competition. Real Madrid will at the same stage begin their defence of the tenth title won by the Bernabeu outfit.
