Liverpool loom as Sturridge told he can leave Chelsea
Striker Daniel Sturridge is moving ever closer to the door at Chelsea with the constant rumours of Radamel Falcao's imminent arrival. The Dailymail are reporting that The West London club will look to offload the 23-year-old during the January transfer window and Stamford Bridge chiefs will hope to start the bidding for the forward at £15million.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was keen on a season-long loan deal but the player pulled out of the deal, insisting any move had to be permanent.
Liverpool would give Sturridge a chance to play as a striker, a role in which the player craves deeply but the £15million asking price might be stumbling block.
Brendan Rogers has been open saying that he needs to make signings in January to ensure Liverpool can compete with their rivals and Sturridge certainly fits FSG's policy of buying youth.
