Liverpool friendly called off

iverpool's first pre-season friendly of the summer against Al-Hilal on Saturday has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Heavy rain in Austria caused the pitch to be deemed unplayable as, after several pitch inspections, the referee was forced to call off the game just before kick-off. New manager Roy Hodgson will now have to wait until Wednesday's clash against Grasshoppers for his first match in charge of the Reds.
