Liverpool director Moores resigns

Former Liverpool chairman David Moores has resigned from the board of directors, two years after selling his majority stake in the Anfield club. Moores, who accepted George Gillett's and Tom Hicks' takeover plans in March 2007, has since spoken of his dismay at how the American duo have run the club.
