Liverpool are a mess! Wigan chairman Whelan sticks boot into sorry Reds

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has rubbed salt in Liverpool's wounds by branding the Anfield club 'a mess' and slating the club's American owners. The Latics recorded their first ever win over Liverpool with a 1-0 victory on Monday night leaving the Reds with a real battle on their hands to qualify for next season's Champions League. And Whelan has been quick to stick the boot into co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks.
