Liverpool youngster named the sixth most valuable in Europe

A report by the Football Observatory, a research group within the International Centre for Sports Studies has published a new report, entitled ‘Transfer Values and Probabilities’. This is a monthly report which lists the top 100 players by valuation with the usual suspects at the top such as Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Sergio Aguero.

The 20-year-old Red, Raheem Sterling features curiously in 6th place with an astonishing valuation of £59.7million…Surprised? Yes, that’s what we thought. Sterling, who still has a year remaining on his contract is being courted by such clubs as Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester City among others could well be willing to test that valuation but it’s difficult to see anyone paying anywhere near that figure.

Liverpool also have Coutinho (17th) Henderson (48th) and with Emre Can and Sturridge featuring much further down the list.

Is Sterling worth £59.7m? Give us your view in the poll.
