As ive previously reported Adam Lallana appears to be the first name on the list of transfers Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has drawn up for this summer.
Skysports broke the news last night via their twitter account:
"Sky sources: Liverpool set to table bid for Southampton playmaker Adam Lallana this summer"
Obviously twitter went into transfer meltdown as it does when Liverpool (or any big team for that matter) gets names linked to them.
This is the sort of rumour that makes sense and seems to be gathering steam as we head to the end of the season.
The Reds are in need of players that bring something else to the table and with his versatility Lallana, who was recently voted Southampton's Player of the Year, (and has scored nine goals in 37 Premier League games this season), would definitely add more goals from midfield.
The Sky report insists that Brendan Rodgers is determined to complete a deal to sign Lallana before England depart for Brazil on June 8, which would be a great bit of early business for LFC and its fans.
Southampton though insist that they have received no official bid for the player from Liverpool, but then again how many times have we heard that before, no club would openly admit to entertaining bids from other clubs for their players.
Hopefully there should be some news on the Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka soon ;)
