And the final whistle goes. It's finished 3-1 to Liverpool. Thank you for tuning in today on the final game of the season. See you next season for more Premier League action.[LNB]90+3 Cheers greet the Liverpool players each time they take a touch on the ball.[LNB]90+2 Bentley makes life uncomfortable for Agger as he moves down the right but the Spurs man's cross is poor.[LNB]90+1 Three minutes of added time announced.[LNB]90 It's a corner and could the script be written for Hyypia to get on the score-sheet... Aurelio takes and it's HYYPIA and gets a bullit header on taget but Gomes makes a super stop to deny the Reds defender.[LNB]89 Bentley has it on the right after a good move down the left - he flights a great cross which finds Bent but he can only head wide.[LNB]88 Liverpool take a breather and allow Spurs to get onto the ball.[LNB]87 From Hyypia's good defensive work Riera runs at Spurs' defence and cracks a left-foot shot goalwards. Gomes is beaten but the drive goes inches wide.[LNB]86 Tottenham keep going and they have a corner, Bentley takes but Hyypia sees it away. Hyypia then puts the shackles on another Spurs attack.[LNB]85 LIVERPOOL SUB: The biggest noise in the ground today follows as Hyypia comes on and takes the captains armband coming on for Gerrard.[LNB]85 GERRARD GOES INCHES WIDE! Alonso tees up the Reds skipper and Gerrard goes narrowly wide with a thunderous free-kick.[LNB]84 Corluka goes into the book for the challenge on Gerrard and Liverpool have a free-kick in a dangerous position.[LNB]83 Gerrard looks to get in on goal, but Corluka sends him tumbling.[LNB]82 GOAL BENAYOUN! From a great pass by Gerrard, Benayoun applied the finish although Gomes was unlucky after getting a hand to the ball.[LNB]80 Bent goes close with a header from Modric's cross and Liverpool need to be careful here as the visitors' sails are up.[LNB] Keane finds the net on his return to Liverpool after beating the offside trap and finishing cooly. Carragher was at fault for playing the striker onside.[LNB]79 LIVERPOOL SUB: Ngog comes on for Torres.[LNB]79 SPURS SUB: Bent comes on for Bale.[LNB]78 GOAL KEANE!! Robbie Keane does score on his return to Anfield after some woeful defendinfg by Carragher.[LNB]76 Corluka drifts into the Liverpool half and it looks for Modric as Spurs try to take something from the game but Liverpool come away with the ball.[LNB]75 Mascherano has been excellent in breaking up play today and he is on hand again to stop Spurs in their tracks.[LNB]74 Liverpool go in search of more goals as Riera beats Hutton but his shot on his weaker foot was tame and it goes narrowly wide.[LNB]73 Liverpool recover from a shaky couple of minutes defensively with Agger bringing the ball from the back, he finds Gerrard who tries to bury a right-foot blast but it's gone narrowly wide.[LNB]71 Spurs come on the attack and work a good position on the right, the cross comes in from Bentley and Bale goes down the box looking for a penalty but nothing comes of it.[LNB]70 SPURS SUB: Pavlyuchenko comes on for the ineffectual Defoe.[LNB]69 The Anfield crowd are cheering for Sami Hyypia to come on as he warms up down the touchline.[LNB]68 Hutton comes down the right but he runs the ball out of play.[LNB]67 Alonso tests Gomes with a long-distance effort and Liverpool have another corner but this set-piece comes to nothing.[LNB]66 Reira's first involvement sees the winger play a clever ball to Gerrard in the box, who brings it down beautifully before somehow finding space to shoot and his effort cannoned off the post and the hosts have a corner.[LNB]65 LIVERPOOL SUB: Kuyt comes off for Riera.[LNB] Liverpool teased the Spurs defence playing several accute balls before Benayoun teed up Kuyt and the Dutchman's shot delfected off Hutton past the helpless Gomes. Should be the end of Spurs' Euro hopes.[LNB]64 GOAL KUYT!! It could go down as a OG for Hutton though after he deflected Kuyt's shot past Gomes.[LNB]63 Gerrard takes and finds Skrtlel at the back-post and its a pin-ball situation.[LNB]62 Corluka gifts possession to Liverpool in his own half and Gerrard tries to take full advantage speeding into the box, the skipper tries to cross but Corluka is on hand to make the block, Liverpool corner.[LNB]61 Assou-Ekotto becomes the latest Spurs player to pick up a knock today after booting Gerrard's studs while going for a 50/50.[LNB]60 Spurs dillydally with the ball in their own half but the ball eventually moves up field and Defoe tries to latch onto the loose ball in the penalty area but Alonso deals with the threat and clears.[LNB]59 Kuyt does well to rob Assou-Ekotto but the defender tracks back at forces a goal-kick from the Dutchman.[LNB]58 Liverpool are being quite sloppy with possession at the moment, Skrtel the latest to gift Spurs the ball.[LNB]57 Three Spurs players stand over the ball and it's Bale who strikes the free-kick and he blasts it at goal. Reina is alert and beats the ball away before gathering the loose ball.[LNB]56 Spurs enjoy a good spell and Modric runs at the Liverpool defence and wins a free-kick no more than 25-yards from goal.[LNB]54 Liverpool work possession to the edge of Tottenham's 18 yard box, but Alonso is sloppy with the ball and Tottenham break.[LNB]53 Spurs however win a free-kick out on the left. Bentley stands over the ball but his cross hits the wall and it shows the midfielder is out of form and confidence most likely.[LNB]52 Modric is fouled but referee Walton plays the advantage. Bale surges down the left but some terrific defending from Carragher prevents a corner.[LNB]51 Zokora looks ok and play continues. Liverpool show no sympathy and Gerrard sniffs for a chance but is marshaled out by Hutton before Alonso tries his luck from the half-way line but Gomes claims the ball with ease.[LNB]50 The corner is fizzed in and Tottenham clear but play is stopped with Zokora down injured.[LNB]49 Reds start the second-half like the first - all guns blazing - Gerrard, on the left brakes to the by-line before crossing to Torres who wins a corner after his shot was delfected.[LNB]48 The hosts try to get their tempo going o the right, they work out ton the left to Benayoun who gives it to Torres but the striker loses out to Modric. The little midfielder tries to start a counter but he can't find a Spurs face.[LNB]47 Liverpool start the half well, but Spurs come on the counter with Bentley. The substitute has three in the box but he is squeezed out.[LNB]46 Torres gets straight back into the groove latching onto an early ball, but his cross on the right finds the hands of Gomes.[LNB]45 Kick-off: Liverpool get the second-half under way.[LNB]Paul Stoddard emails in remarking in what he expects will be an 'easy Liverpool win' but Paul admits he will be gutted if Alonso is leaves.[LNB] I expect Darren Smiles was up shouting at his computer when he wrote this: "Come on Tottenham, You beat Liverpool twice this season, you can do it again. "Come on you Spurs"[LNB]Matthew Foster has got back in touch again: "Reading what's been happening - looks promising for Gerrard to get his goals as his presence is of a commanding one. Would be really great to see some of our youngsters come on and show us what we can expect from them next season." Matty also has a view on Ryan Babel, who has not been included in the squad today: "Where is Babel he is the sub of subs - he always brings his A game???[LNB] And Referee Walton blows up for half-time. It's 1-0 at the break thanks to Torres' 50th goal in Liverpool colours.[LNB]45+1 Spurs enjoy possession in the last minute but they can't work an opening.[LNB]45 Liverpool go down the left and Kuyt picks up the ball, he turns a plays it to Benayoun in the centre and he goes for glory with a first-time shot but it's whistled over the bar. 1 minute of added time.[LNB]44 Liverpool go up the other end and win a corner. It's a poor though as Gomes gathers with ease.[LNB]43 Defoe beats the offside trap as Spurs catch Liverpool sleeping, but Reina is quick out of his goal and he manages to stop the striker from getting his shot off.[LNB]42 The hosts work it down the left to Benayoun, who loses out to Modric, but the midfielder plays a slack pass and he releases Torres but the striker is heavy in his touch and the chance goes.[LNB]41 Bentley makes a bright start on the right but Liverpool win it back and start another move.[LNB]40 SPURS SUB: Jenas comes off and Bentley takes to the field.[LNB]39 Jenas hammers the ball out for a throw-in as makes it clear he cannot conintue today.[LNB]38 Keane picks up the ball as Spurs come on the counter, the striker tries to work a yard but his old team-mate Skrtel forces him wide and the danger is avoided for the hosts.[LNB]36 Torres shows more brilliance on the left working some space on the left, before Alonso shows why Liverpool should do their upmost to keep him this summer with a 70 yard pearl of a ball.[LNB]35 Keane has his first shot of the afternoon, but he balloons it over and sees the funny side of it.[LNB]33 Spurs look deflated after that goal, they try to come on the attack but they can't get into a goalscoring opportunity.[LNB] Liverpool came out of their half for the first time and they go long aiming for Gerrard, Assou-Ekotto slipped to allow the Reds skipper to play in Kuyt on the right who took a touch before finding Torres in the box and the marksman made no mistake with his header with his effort cannoning off the cross-bar before finding the back of the net.[LNB]31 GOAL TORRES! The striker has scored 50 goals for the Reds now.[LNB]29 Tottenham keep the ball in Liverpool's half until Assou-Ekotto concedes a foul.[LNB]28 Spurs win a free-kick allowing King to get forward for the first time this afternoon, but the visitors squander the set-piece and Liverpool clear.[LNB]27 Jenas is struggling after Torres' run and it looks like Bentley may be brought on.[LNB]26 Torres offers the hosts some defending respite as he surges forward. The striker ghosts past Jenas and tries to take on two Spurs defenders but the Spaniard's shot is tame.[LNB]25 Liverpool are forced to do some defending in their own half as Tottenham enjoy their best spell of the match so far. The possession comes to an end though, with Jenas shooting tamely from distance.[LNB]24 Spurs are getting further up the pitch now, especially down the right.[LNB]23 Alonso wins the second-ball for Liverpool and he tries to start a move, Spurs win the ball back and come on the counter but it comes to nothing as they go for a long-ball towards Defoe and he was towered out by Skrtel.[LNB]22 Spurs continue have the ball and they gain ground on the right. It's played wide right to centre and Assou-Ekotto picks up the ball deep before unleashing a drive at goal which stings the fingertips of Reina but the Reds keeper picks up the loose ball.[LNB]21 The away team try to work it down the right but the likes of Alonso and Gerrard see that Spurs are pegged back into their own half.[LNB]20 The Spurs fans have found their voice as their team enjoy a spell on the ball.[LNB]19 Liverpool play keep-ball across the back before going long for Kuyt who claws a cross out from the right by-line, but Torres wasn't expecting his team-mate to get to the ball and Gomes collects.[LNB]18 Liverpool win it back before Aurelio plays a super 60 yard ball to Gerrard as the hosts try counter - the Reds go backwards with no options up top.[LNB]17 Liverpool go long this time aiming for Torres but the striker can't beat King to the ball and Spurs have possession.[LNB]16 Gerrard nutmegs Zokora to find Alonso but the Spaniard can't find Benayoun with the through-ball.[LNB]15 Liverpool come on the attack on the left with Gerrard heavily involved, Hutton manages to turn the Reds skipper's cross behind for a throw-in.[LNB]13 Spurs have come back into the game after Liverpool's early dominance, but the likes of Defoe and Keane have not had a sniff.[LNB]12 Gerrard vies with Assou-Ekotto for the ball near the corner-flag but the linesman turns down the Reds captain's appeals for a corner and it's a Spurs goal-kick.[LNB]11 Spurs come on the counter and Bale wins a free-kick from Carragher's challenge. The visitors however gift the ball back to the hosts.[LNB]10 Liverpool are forced back into their own half but they deal with Spurs' pressure with a number of clever passes. They work it right and Kuyt looks to break into the box but Assou-Ekotto makes an excellent challenge.[LNB]9 Liverpool continue their first-class tempo as they come on the attack. Kuyt nearly finds Torres with a clever ball before Gerrard heads wide from a deep cross.[LNB]8 From the throw-in, Spurs work it right to Hutton but he can't find Defoe with his through-ball and the Reds have possession.[LNB]7 Bale comes down the left, but the Carragher/Mascherano combination sees to the Spurs man and it's a Tottenham throw-in.[LNB]6 Spurs go on the attack for the first time this afternoon, but it comes to nothing despite Jenas' efforts to chase a lost cause.[LNB]5 Torres earns the Reds another early corner. Aureilo takes and he finds Skrtel at the back-post who nods it across to Benayoun and he snatches his shot over the bar from 6 yards.[LNB]4 Kuyt is given acres of space and he finds Benayoun who forces a corner. The hosts take an early set-piece but Bale clears.[LNB]3 Liverpool boss possession and they woerk it left to Benayoun who finds Gerrard in the centre but he can't get his feet right to get a shot off.[LNB]2 There is a great noise in Anfield today, despite the failings in the league, they are showing their support this afternoon.[LNB]1 Liverpool snatch ealry possession and play along the back-line. Carragher, at right back today, plays a long-ball which Alonso picks up and he tees up Gerrard who narrowly shoots wide with a right-foot blast. Good start.[LNB]0 Kick-off: A super rendition of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' rings out as Spurs get us under way.[LNB] Today's referee Peter Walton leads the team's out and kick-off is just around the corner. Let me know your views through-out the first half and ill put the best up at half-time. Elliott.ball@bskyb.com is the address again.[LNB]Matthew Foster from South Africa is tuning into today's commentary while at work and here's his view: "The final score will be 3-1 to Liverpool Gerrard getting 2 of the 3 and either Benayoun or Torres with the 3rd. Hyypia will probably come on between the 65th and 75th minute due to the fact that it will be his 464th league appearance for us."[LNB] I must mention at this point that Hyypia came out to warm-up and he was greeted by a rapturous applause from the Kop after 10 years of service to the Merseysiders. He will go down as a Red legend - surely he will get some game time today.[LNB]Jim writes in expecting Tottenham's No. 15 to leave Anfield without a goal to his name, he writes: "Liverpool to win 2-1, Keane will not score."[LNB]Mark Burnard from Bournemouth tells me his prediction: "Liverpool to win 4-1, Gerrard to score a hat-trick with no goals from Anelka in the Chelsea game...Gerrard snatches the Golden Boot!!"[LNB]Daniel Garrihy writes in from Ireland, he says: I'm just hoping that the Liverpool fans don't boo Robbie Keane when he gets the ball and I'm a Liverpool fan and I don't think it was his fault and if he scores I doubt he'll celebrate[LNB] It's 20 minutes until kick-off and I see it the perfect time to inform you of SKYBET's latest offers: Those who fancy Liverpool to end the campaign with a win can get odds of 1/2.
