Liverpool to solve striker woes with Berahino swoop

According to reports in the Metro it seems that the talented young England striker Saido Berahino is looking to move on and has given West Brom notice that he wants this to be his last week at the club.

There has been interest from Spurs but it seems that Liverpool are favourites to land the young star in the January window with a bid stated to be worth 23.5million to West Brom which you would have to say would probably be difficult to refuse if true.

The player who earned an England call-up has been one of the best young striker prospects this season and has scored eight times for his struggling club. West Bromwich Albion are currently 16th in the league with 17 points and those eight goals could prove very useful with just one point separating them from 19th.

The Burundi-born-striker is third in the all-time goal scoring stakes for the under-21 side with 10 goals in 13 appearances.

The Metro quote Fichajes.net which cannot really be considered a reliable source but a transfer is not the most far-out that we have heard and the player does have a new contract worth £50,000 on the table with the Baggies.
