The Reds have moved a step closer to completing some more business hot on the heels of securing Ings and Milner who both chose Anfield as free-agents. Their next business will require a fee and this could be a test to silence the critics that Liverpool are all about profit and picking up freebies.

Mateo Kovacic has been in the pipeline for some time with Kovacic according to reports being in agreement on personal terms whilst the clubs yet to agree a fee on the transfer.

Reports in Italy suggest that Inter have found a replacement for Kovacic in Ondrej Duda of Legia Warsaw which will only increases the chances of Liverpool signing-up the 21-year-old.

The fee that Inter are looking for is around £25m with Liverpool so far coming in short with a £21m offer. The Croatia international moved from Dinamo Zagreb to Inter in 2012 where has spent three seasons. In 2014-15 he made a total of 44 appearances, scoring 8 goals and making 4 assists.

The player has been described as a great technician, versatile and with great potential.
