Liverpool linked with Barcelona youngster as Cristian Tello is yet to put pen to paper on a new four year extension, according to talkSPORT.co.uk.
Tello has been offered a deal that will keep him at the Nou Camp until the summer of 2016, but is yet to pen to paper amidst no guarantee's he will play regular first team football. Speculation is increasing that big Premier League sides are in for the young Spaniard, who has attracted the eyes of many with his skill, pace and direct running at the opposition.
Unless the player's agent and Barcelona come to an agreement, Tello will be free to sign a pre-contract deal in January as his current deal expires at the end of the season.
Liverpool could be in pole position to sign the Spanish youngster as former Barca youth-team coach Rodolfo Borrell is now part of Brendan Rodgers' backroom staff. A long with the likes of Suso, Sterling and Wisdom all playing regular first team football.
Tello will need some persuasion from Liverpool to sign for the club, with arguably only Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard there two world-class players. But with the likes of Suso, Sterling, Tello, Suarez and Gerrard all part of Liverpool's attack for the future, it could be a very bright one if Rodgers can get his man.
