Liverpool target Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez, and have sent scouts to Barcelona to check out the Chilean in action.
Liverpool are in the market for an attacking player to ease the pressure of Luis Suarez for goals this season at Liverpool. The Chilean can play on the wing or down the centre – and will be an excellent purchase by Rodgers, if he can get his man.
Sanchez has become a bit part player at the Camp Nou this season, with the impressive form of Lionel Messi, David Villa, Pedro and Cesc Faregas all fighting for the attacking positions. The majority of his appearances have come from the subs bench.
Barcelona are reportedly reluctant to sell their big money signing – and are key for him to regain the form that made him one of the most hottest properties last season.
This is not the first time Liverpool have tried to do business with Barcelona – with Cristian Tello reportedly on the receiving end of an offer from Liverpool.
The youngster snubbed Anfield for a future at the Camp Nou.
