Liverpool starlet lighting up Spain's La Liga

Liverpool's Spanish teen Suso is making an impact with La Liga side Almeria. Brendan Rodgers decided to let the Spaniard protégé go on loan to the side, after a handful of first team appearances last season for the Merseyside club last season. His performances this season will provide Liverpool fans with optimism for the future.

Just turning, 20 last week, Suso, who can play a left and right side attacking midfield berth, has played in 12 of Almeria's 14 La Liga games, scoring once and assisting his teammates five times. Only Cesc Fabregas and Neymar of Barcelona and Koke of Athletico Madrid have provided more assists in La Liga this season.

Almeria themselves lie 18th, locked on 12 points with Celta Viga, Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano and are reeling after a 5-0 home defeat at the weekend to Real Madrid. Suso is embroiled in a relegation battle, but the experience he will gain is invaluable, and the stats speak for themselves - huge credit to Suso for achieving those stats at a relatively struggling side.

When Suso returns to Melwood next term, he will do so a far superior player than the one that left in the summer, with experience of regular first team football.
