Liverpool set to win race to sign £7m Real Sociedad star Antoine Griezmann
In demand: Griezmann is being courted by Liverpool [LNB]Liverpool are closing on a £7million deal for Real Sociedad's highly-rated winger Antoine Griezmann as director of football strategy Damien Comolli says the club is ready to finance world class signings in January. [LNB]Sportsmail revealed last month that Comolli was keen on Griezmann after trying to sign him for St Etienne. [LNB]The 19-year-old was born in France but picked up by Sociedad in 2005 and has shown great promise in La Liga with Manchester United and Arsenal also showing interest.
