Liverpool set sights on PSG's Menez

Liverpool are aiming for a strong run in to the close of the premier league season, as Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is keeping a close eye on his squad and possible transfers. Interestingly enough the Dailystar is reporting that a former Anfield target is once again on the radar.

It seems that PSG's Jeremy Menez is the latest in a long line of potential summer targets for the Anfield boss.

Menez's contract is due to expire in July 2014, and the player has been linked with a summer switch to Anfield by the French press.

Jean-Pierre Bernès told France Football the former Roma star "is a competitor" who won't put up with being relegated to the bench for much longer.

The fact that the French international is quite versatile and can play both out wide and up front makes him an attractive option for the Merseyside club.

Not surprisingly Juventus have also been linked with the former AS Roma man, but Menez endured a troubled time at Roma (notable incident being when leaving the Stadio Olimpico, his car was attacked and his windscreen was smashed by rocks) and may not wish to return to Italian football.
