According to reports in both Portuguese newspaper A Bola and Italian website Calciomercato Liverpool have agreed a deal with Malaga for playmaker Manuel Iturra.

The Chile international, has been getting rave reviews in both La Liga and the Champions League this season due to some excellent performances and has been strongly linked with a summer move to Anfield.

The 28-year-old is out of contract with Malaga at the end of the season and he is keen to sort his long-term future.

Since the news broke Talksport have picked up on this and also reported this, but there has been no verification from player or either club to back up claims that a deal is close to being completed.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is planning the next phase of his Liverpool rebuilding project this summer and with the need to obviously strengthen in certain areas a move for Iturra could very well make sense especially if he’s available on a free transfer.
