Joe Cole may be moving abroad for the new season, with big-spending French giants Paris St Germain weighing up a bid for the Liverpool midfielder.

PSG now have the financial clout to make big signings, with the Qatar Investment Authority backing the club.

And with Cole seemingly not in favour at Anfield, PSG believe they could tempt him away on a free transfer, according to a report in the Sun.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is known to be keen on Cole, while reports earlier this week linked Premier League new boys QPR with a move for the player.
Cole, who joined Liverpool under then manager Roy Hodgson last summer, has become one of English football's great enigmas.
He has played a full part in Liverpool's pre-season programme, but it is by no means clear whether current manager Kenny Dalglish sees Cole as part of his long-term plans.

Asked by a journalist whether Berbatov could play with PSG, a smiling Ferguson replied: 'Yes. Absolutely, no problem.'
