The reds would be willing to let the Scotland international leave Anfield for £5m and this has alerted David Moyes who is ready to make a swoop for the player.
Moyes was keen on bringing his fellow countryman to Goodison before Liverpool snapped him up by Kenny Dalglish.
If the transfer happens Adam will be the first player since Gary Ablett to make the Anfield-to-Goodison transfer since 1992.
